“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.” -Eckhart Tolle
Brittany grew up in Florida and Hawaii with an adventurous spirit as well as a great love for the outdoors. She learned at a young age to respect and cherish the beautiful aina surrounding us. Always playing sports and exploring outside it was natural that Brittany would be drawn to the asana practice of yoga.
Brittany received her BA in Merchandising - Interior Design from Eastern Illinois University. After graduation Brittany worked for 6 years in the Architectural industry, working at firms in both Florida and Hawaii. It wasn't until 2013 when her and her husband moved back to Oahu she really decided to take her practice deeper and unlock the true nature of yoga. She completed her 200 hr YTT in spring of 2014 at Hawaii Yoga Institute and her life was changed. She came to understand the true meaning of what yoga is.
Brittany is now a full time mother and yoga instructor teaching dynamic power yoga flow classes to her students that create heat in the body while silencing the chitter chatter in their minds. She has experience in teaching restorative yoga, vinyasa, hatha, and various other yoga styles. Her classes allow students to tune inward and recognize what their body and mind need at that moment. As one of her favorite excerpts from the book In Love with the Mystery states, "Living in the present moment is the only way to tame the mind. The mind can throw us into turmoil, thinking of the past and worrying about the future. By noticing our breath, and the inner sensations of the body, the air around us, the ground beneath us, we begin to find ourselves." Brittany wants her students to feel empowered in her classes and to be able to tap into their own inner being.
