Shoshana began a consistent physical yoga practice in 2012 and noticed positive effects immediately. Dancing (contemporary and hula) had always been an integral part of her life up until then and, initially, yoga successfully began as a replacement for the physical and mental benefits she had received through dance. However, she soon discovered that these aspects were joined by a deeper spiritual connection. As her physical practice continued to grow on the mat, it also translated to all areas of life off the mat and continues to do so with each day.
After receiving her bachelors in psychology from the University of Hawaii, she decided to take the plunge with yoga teacher training, while still continuing graduate studies. Immediately after graduating from Power Yoga Hawaii's 200-hour Teacher Training in 2015, she began teaching and made it her full-time occupation.
Having grown up in Hawaii, Shoshana has a strong sense of culture and community and wishes to share her passion and practice with others. She strives to provide challenging classes in a fun and nurturing environment, while focusing on fluidity of breath and movement.
